About Carla

Carla Dirlikov was recently described by Opera Magazine as having “the most compelling voice of the evening, one that grabbed the heartstrings with its dramatic force and musicality.” During the 2012-13 season Ms Dirlikov returns to the Opera Royal de Wallonie as Preziosilla in La Forza del Destino, conducted by Paolo Arrivabeni, which will be broadcast on ARTE. Adding another new role to her repertoire, she also sings the temptress Giulietta in Les Contes d’Hoffmann in Francesca Zambello’s production presented at the National Center for the Arts, Beijing, conducted by Stephen Barlow. She will also reprise the title role in Carmen with the NCPA in Beijing, in Francesca Zambello's acclaimed production.  In the spring and summer months she will join the Glyndebourne Festival for their production of Ariadne auf Naxos, covering the role of the Composer.
